Diagnostic Imaging Evaluation

Diagnostic Imaging Evaluation for women (or men) with symptoms such as a lump, nipple discharge or skin changes.

If the mammogram shows anything unusual, a more comprehensive examination may be recommended.  This may include additional views, an ultrasound scan, physical exam and other studies.  An appointment can be scheduled within 24-48 hours for this additional diagnostic test. Results are discussed with you as soon as this diagnostic exam is completed and your doctor promptly receives a written report.

A biopsy may be recommended in about 2% of women who come for screening mammography.  Should a biopsy be necessary, this will also be discussed with you and your referring physician.
